Glenn Thomas L.C.S.W. created loveandencourage.com to help you improve your relationship with your children or dependents and help reduce their disruptive behaviors. He is shown here with his wife Cyndy Thomas L.C.S.W. and two of his four grandchildren.
Glenn is a licensed clinical social worker and board certified diplomate who has practiced for close to 30 years. He graduated with a bachelor’s in General Science from the University of Washington, and received a Masters degree in Social Work from California State University at Fresno. He has practiced as a child and family therapist for many years.
He has written three software titles published by two education software publishers. He wrote the first Apple on-line grade book and attendence keeper called the "Home-School Communicator" published by Intellimation. Glenn was awarded a Patent #6,767,212 July, 2004 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Much of loveandencourage.com is based on this patent. Glenn is creating the loveandencouragement.com web site to inform, teach, and help.
Glenn practices with his wife Cyndy, who is also a licensed clinical social worker and board certified diplomate, in a private practice based in Willow Glen, CA. He also worked as Lead Clinician for a large County multidisciplinary assessment clinic of Developmental Pediatricians, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists, and managed the disruptive behavior program. He also co-created "Children with Autism Parenting Education and Support" CAPES a 15 week series that is a promising best practice based on early research results of a large research study. He provided parenting groups for Golden Gate Regional Center every month. He was named National Association Of Social Workers "Social Worker of the Year, 2005" for Santa Clara County. He is currently on the California State National Association of Social Workers State Board and serves as Region B Director.
He is also a part-time Faculty member in the Graduate School of Social Work, San Jose State University (additional class content). He has taught second year Masters of Social Work students family therapy, child therapy, policy, and community organization. Glenn was the Keynote Speaker for the San Jose State University BSW and MSW class of 2005 graduation ceremonies.

He has four adult stepchildren, and four grandchildren he adores. One of his stepchildren, who he helped raise, was diagnosed with ADHD and is an inspiration for creating www.loveandencourage.com.
